ENTRANCE ANTIPHON: To you, I lift up my soul, O my God. In you, I have trusted; let me not be put to shame. Nor let my enemies exult over me; and let none who hope in you be put to shame.
FIRST READING: Isaiah 63:16-17, 64:1,3-8.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 80.
RESPONSE: O God, bring us back; Let your face shine on us, and we shall be saved. 1. O shepherd of Israel, hear us, enthroned on the cherubim, shine forth. Rouse up your might and come to save us. ℟ 2. God of hosts, turn again, we implore; look down from heaven and see. Visit this vine and protect it, the vine your right hand has planted. ℟ 3. May your hand be on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have confirmed as your own. And we shall never forsake you again; give us life that we may call upon your name. ℟
SECOND READING: 1 Corinthians 1:3-9.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Alleluia, alleluia! Let us see, O Lord, your mercy, and grant us your salvation. Alleluia.
GOSPEL: Mark 13:33-37.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER:
My Jesus,
I believe that you are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
COMMUNION ANTIPHON: The Lord will bestow his bounty, and our earth shall yield its increase.
