ENTRANCE ANTIPHON: Save us, O Lord our God! And gather us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, and make it our glory to praise you.
FIRST READING: Deuteronomy 18:15-20.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 95.
RESPONSE: O that today you would listen to his voice! Harden not your hearts.
1. Come, let us ring out our joy to the Lord; hail the rock who saves us. Let us come into his presence, giving thanks; let us hail him with a song of praise. ℟
2. O come; let us bow and bend low. Let us kneel before the God who made us, for he is our God and we the people who belong to his pasture, the flock that is led by his hand. ℟
3. O that today you would listen to his voice! ‘Harden not your hearts as at Meribah, as on that day at Massah in the desert when your forebears put me to the test; when they tried me, though they saw my work.’ ℟
SECOND READING: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Alleluia, alleluia! The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned. Alleluia.
GOSPEL: Mark 1:21-28.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER:
My Jesus,
I believe that you are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
COMMUNION ANTIPHON: Let your face shine on your servant, Save me in your merciful love, O Lord, let me not be put to shame, for I call on you.
