ENTRANCE ANTIPHON:
Drop down dew from above, you heavens,
and let the clouds rain down the Just One;
let the earth be opened and bring forth a Saviour.
FIRST READING: Micah 5:1-5.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 80.
RESPONSE: O God, bring us back;
let your face shine on us, and we shall be saved.
1. O shepherd of Israel, hear us,
enthroned on the cherubim, shine forth.
Rouse up your might and come to save us. ℟
2. God of hosts, turn again, we implore;
look down from heaven and see.
Visit this vine and protect it,
the vine your right hand has planted. ℟
3. May your hand be on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have confirmed as your own.
And we shall never forsake you again;
give us life that we may call upon your name. ℟
SECOND READING: Hebrews 10:5-10.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION:
Alleluia, alleluia!
Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord;
let it be to me according to your word.
Alleluia.
GOSPEL: Luke 1:39-45.
COMMUNION ANTIPHON:
Behold a Virgin shall conceive and bear a son;
and his name will be called Emmanuel.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER:
My Jesus,
I believe that you are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
