Entrance Antiphon:

When he calls on me, I will answer him;

I will deliver him and give him glory,

I will grant him length of days.

First Reading: Deuteronomy 26: 4-10.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 91:1-2.10-15.

Response: Be with me, O Lord, when I am in distress.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, and abides in the shade of the Almighty, says to the Lord, “My refuge, my stronghold, my God in whom I trust!” R/

Upon you no evil shall fall,

no plague approach your tent. For you has he commanded his angels to keep you in all your ways. R/

They shall bear you upon their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. On the lion and the viper you will tread, and trample the young lion and the serpent. R/

Since he clings to me in love, I will free him, protect him, for he knows my name. When he calls on me, I will answer him; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him, and give him glory. R/

Second Reading: Romans 10: 8-13.

Gospel Acclamation:

Glory and praise to you, O Christ.

Man does on live on bread alone,

but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Glory and praise to you, O Christ

Gospel: Luke 4:1-13.

Communion Antiphon:

One does not live by bread alone,

but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER:

My Jesus,

I believe that you are present

in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You in my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there

and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.
