NOTICES:
FINANCIAL APPEAL:
Scripture tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil, but to run homes and establishments it is an essential commodity.
The Church is no exception. Being aware of the effect that this Covid pandemic is having on us all, it is extremely difficult to mention financial matters, but nonetheless, it has to happen. The parish is nearing a financial crisis. The weekly collections for the year of 2020 were down by 72% compared with 2019. The same weekly collections this year, 2021, are down 61% on last year, 2020.
Last year there were two major expenses, namely the pipe organ, the cost of which was totally covered by very generous donations and nothing came out of parish funds, the refurbishing of the hall, only half of which was funded out of parish funds. Also to mention that the employees of the parish were not afforded bonuses last year. So this appeal is not to ask for anything extravagant, but to cover the basic running costs of the parish. We cannot even have fundraising events because of the Covid restrictions. Please help run the parish.
THANK YOU for the wheel chair which was donated to the parish.

CORONA VIRUS PRAYER.
Lord Jesus Christ, during your earthly ministry, at your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now in the midst of the global pandemic, that we may experience your healing love. Give leaders of nations and communities the foresight to act with charity and true concern for the well-being of the people they are meant to serve. Give them the wisdom to invest in long-term solutions that will help prepare for or prevent future outbreaks. Grant to all peoples the grace to respect the measures suggested that may curtail the spread of this virus, and health, strength and courage to doctors, nurses and other health-care workers.
We ask this in your Holy name. Amen.
