NOTICES:

BOOKING FOR WEEKEND MASSES. With the rise of Covid -19 cases and the possibility of a third wave, safety protocols need to be reinforced in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Durban. It seems to have become essential that reservations are made for attending weekend Masses as the numbers remain limited to 80 people at Star of the Sea and 100 people at Blessed Sacrament. Please cooperate in keeping our Parish Family and visitors safe. Dispensation from the Cardinal remains in place that one may attend a weekday Mass instead of the Sunday Mass.

REQUEST Pope Francis invites all Catholics to dedicate the month of May to a marathon prayer for the ending of the Covid 19 pandemic by the daily praying of the Rosary, either as individuals or in family groups or in prayer groups.

THE YEAR OF EUCHARIST In celebration of the Year of the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in the church at Blessed Sacrament every Friday afternoon from 16h00 – 17h00 (with the exception of public holidays) until September 12, 2021.

SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD Given by God to Maria of the Divine Mercy, this seal will protect your home and loved ones. Hang it in your home and trust in Jesus. An example of this plaque can be viewed at the back of the church at Blessed Sacrament. Please contact the parish office to order one. Optional offer of R30.00 to cover expenses.

GUILD OF OUR LADY OF MERCY are desperately looking for a pram and baby clothes birth to 1 year. Please deliver to the parish office.

CORONA VIRUS PRAYER.

Lord Jesus Christ, during your earthly ministry, at your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now in the midst of the global pandemic, that we may experience your healing love.

Give leaders of nations and communities the foresight to act with charity and true concern for the well-being of the people they are meant to serve. Give them the wisdom to invest in long-term solutions that will help prepare for or prevent future outbreaks.

Grant to all peoples the grace to respect the measures suggested that may curtail the spread of this virus, and health, strength and courage to doctors, nurses and other health-care workers.

We ask this in your Holy name. Amen.
