ENTRANCE ANTIPHON:
A child is born to us, and a son is given to us;
his sceptre of power rest upon his shoulder,
and his name will be called Messenger of great counsel.
FIRST READING: Isaiah 52:7-10.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 98.
RESPONSE:
All the ends of the earth
have seen the salvation of our God.
1. O sing a new song to the Lord,
for he has worked wonders.
His right hand and his holy arm
have brought salvation. ℟
2. The Lord has made known his salvation,
has shown his deliverance to the nations.
He has remembered his merciful love
and his truth for the house of Israel. ℟
3. All the end of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth;
break forth into joyous song,
and sing out your praise. ℟
4. Sing psalms to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of song.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn,
raise a shout before the King, the Lord. ℟
SECOND READING: Hebrews 1:1-6.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION:
Alleluia, alleluia!
A hallowed day has shone upon us;
come, O nations, and adore the Lord;
for today a great light has come down to earth.
Alleluia.
GOSPEL: John 1:1-18.
COMMUNION ANTIPHON:
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER:
My Jesus,
I believe that you are present
in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
